Consul was a fantastic athlete, competing in show jumping in the Netherlands and transitioning to dressage upon his importation to the U.S.A. He won 22 classes at Fourth Level, and with his flamboyant markings, was one of the most recognizable horses in the show ring. As a sire, he continues to produce remarkable athletes for every discipline. The international show jumper Judgement ISF, Crown, and the four-star eventer Critical Decision, are just two of his top offspring. Consul’s daughter, Hivona, Keur, was a Produce of Dam winner at Dressage at Devon, and an exceptional broodmare.

What to Expect When You Breed to Consul

Consul offspring are happy and very brave. They are the first to come to the fence to check out visitors and explore new things. Consul does throw white, and has foals that are born dark brown/ black, as well as beautiful chestnut. They are trainable, progress quickly and desire the opportunity to learn new things.

Like their father, Consul’s babies are successful in dressage and jumping. They have talent for jumping big fences in a brave manner, but they also have the style it takes to win on the A circuit in the hunters. Consul has produced two internationally ranked eventers, as well as many Grand Prix dressage competitors.
