Santana ISF

Santana ISF is an exciting 15.3hh 2022 Lusitano gelding sired by the Grand Prix stallion Jasmim Plus and out of the mare Manzanita Pico, by Heros Do M Bello. Foaled and raised here on our farm, Santana is handled regularly and displays a sweet character that is easy to bond with in the barn. He is correct in his conformation with good type and a lot of expression. In movement, he is nicely balanced in all three gaits with suppleness through the body. With a pedigree proven to the highest levels of Dressage, Santana is a top-quality prospect for a future career in performance.

The sire Jasmim Plus is a 4* Recommended Stallion with the APSL and was named the Portuguese Young Horse Champion of the Six-Year-Old division in 2020, winning both of his classes with over 86%. He debuted at Big Tour level in 2023 and already has wins in both Intermediaire II and Grand Prix classes. Jasmim Plus is a son of the international Grand Prix Lusitano stallion Escorial, who represented Brazil at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Escorial is a 4* Recommended Stallion and has sired numerous successful Dressage offspring. Escorial’s own sire, Spartacus, is a 5* Recommended Stallion and ranked at #76 on the 2023 WBFSH Sire Rankings for Dressage.

Through his damsire Heros Do M Bello, Santana traces back to the well-regarded stallion Peralta Pinha. Known as the first Lusitano stallion licensed for breeding in Germany, he captured the bronze medal at the 2007 Young Rider FEI World Championships and subsequently competed to the Grand Prix level. Noted for passing on an exemplary attitude and willingness to work, his offspring include the stallion Equador who was part of the Portuguese team at the 2022 FEI World Dressage Championships in Herning. Peralta Pinha was ranked at #87 for the 2022 WBFSH Sire Rankings for Dressage.
