Devon, PA – September 22-25, 2025 – This year’s Dressage at Devon show marked a historic milestone as it celebrated its 50th Anniversary. For Iron Spring Farm (ISF), however, the show held a profoundly personal significance: it was the first Devon competition since the passing of ISF’s visionary founder, Mary Alice Malone.

A lifelong equestrian and long-time supporter of Dressage at Devon, Mary Alice Malone's presence was deeply missed, but her legacy shone brightly through the horses she bred. The ISF team delivered a powerhouse performance, securing multiple championships and top placings—a fitting tribute that felt, in the words of the team, like the horses were truly shining for her.

Kaiman’s Offspring Dominate the Championships

The young offspring by the ISF stallion Kaiman (Dark Pleasure x Franciska, by Gribaldi, Pref.) were the stars of the show, securing a string of major titles that cemented his status as a top producer of dressage talent.

The two-year-old KWPN-NA filly Temptation ISF (out of Love Dance, Elite/Sport, by Vitalis OLD, Elite) led the charge, claiming a stunning trio of prestigious Championship titles: Grand Champion, Young Horse Champion, and ProElite/USDFBC Filly Champion. Temptation ISF also earned 1st place in the Two-Year-Old Fillies class with 81.900%. Her dam, Love Dance, was the 2024 Reserve Grand Champion and 2023 Grand Champion, among other Championship titles at previous Dressage at Devons.

Carrying on the sire's success, 2025 KWPN-NA reg. B Friesian Sporthorse filly Valentine ISF (out of Zabrina ISF, Star, by Tjalbert 460), started her career with dominance. She was named ProElite/USDFBC Foal Champion, won the KWPN IBC class with an impressive 86.100%, and topped the Pro Elite/USDF Current Year Foal East Coast Series Final with 84.937%.

Kaiman’s progeny also secured 2nd place in the Get of Sire class with 81.500%, proving his ability to consistently pass on quality of conformation and movement to multiple offspring.

Cum Laude and Broodmares Add to the Success

The strong results were a testament to the foundation stock carefully selected by Mary Alice Malone. The progeny of the popular ISF stallion Cum Laude (Apache, Pref. x Pacharel T, Pref./Prest., by Weltmeyer) took 1st place in the competitive Get of Sire class with a score of 82.050%. His son, 2024 KWPN-NA reg. Lusitano warmblood cross Usher ISF (out of Jurdânea, by Escorial), was crowned the ProElite/USDFBC Colt/Gelding Champion. Usher ISF also took 2nd place in the Yearling Colts/Geldings class with 80.400% and 3rd in the Young Horse Championship.

The ISF broodmares had equally strong showings, with Zabrina ISF, Star (Tjalbert 460 x Nynke Ris, Model, by Brend 413, Sport)—the Friesian dam of Valentine ISF—winning 1st place in the Four-Year-Old & Older Broodmares class with an excellent 80.200%. Oresia ASD, Keur (All at Once x Ciresia, Pref., by Sandreo), placed 2nd in the same class with 79.550%.

The impressive roster of wins and placings cements Iron Spring Farm's status as a premier breeding program in North America. By succeeding in the 50th Anniversary show, the team offered a powerful and moving tribute to Mary Alice Malone, ensuring her dedication to the sport and the quality of her horses lives on.
