Iron Spring Farm’s mare Love Dance won four championships at Dressage at Devon, including the coveted Grand Championship. Love Dance, Elite/Sport (Vitalis x Love Princess PJF by Fürst Romancier) had a fantastic show, earning the Mare, Mature Horse and Grand Championship, along with the East Coast USDF Breeders Championships Mare Championship where she received an 83.025. Several other ISF horses picked up major awards at DAD, one of the premier dressage breeding shows in the world.
“Love Dance has been with Catherine Malone for a few years accumulating nice dressage scores. That dressage show experience set Love Dance up for handling the busy in-hand classes at Devon,” said Andrea Bomkamp, broodmare manager at ISF. “She is able to turn up the excitement for her trot and then able to calmly walk out of the ring and hang out waiting for results.” Love Dance has won through Third Level and successfully competed in the young horse classes in Florida.
Love Dance is also the dam of Rhythm ISF (by Top Gear) who was the Young Horse Champion at Dressage at Devon last year. Love Dance was bred by Jürgen Fetzer.
Cum Laude Wins Get of Sire
Iron Spring Farm’s KWPN stallion Cum Laude won the Get of Sire class at DAD–his first time in this class. He was represented by his 2023 colt Tuxedo ISF and the 2023 filly Twilight ISF, who each received an 8.8 on their trots in the KWPN class. “We’re very excited about Cum Laude’s North American offspring,” said Meghan deGaray, breeding manager at ISF. “They’ve had a great keuring season and now a great Dressage at Devon. His foals are friendly, have excellent temperaments and are very nice movers, which is what everyone wants when they’re breeding.”
Tuxedo ISF (Cum Laude x Ballerina Ceroon, Elite/Sport by Oscar), a beautiful black colt, won the competitive KWPN class with an 83.950 and the Colts of 2023 class with an 80.425. He was also named the Reserve Champion Foal and was the East Coast USDF Breeders Championships Foal Champion.
“Tuxedo is a lovely Cum Laude colt who has been easy from birth,” said Bomkamp. “He’s very laid back in the barn and handled his Devon experience like a seasoned older horse. It’s going to be fun watching him grow up.” Tuxedo’s half-sister, Twilight ISF (Cum Laude x Awesome ISF, Star by Ulbert 390, Sport) finished third in the KWPN class with an 81.925%. Twilight ISF is out of a Friesian mare.

Keur, (Fürst Jazz x Wodorette, Keur/Prestatie, by Farrington, Keur) won the Three-Year-Old Fillies class with an 82.025, with a 9.0 for her trot, and was the Reserve Champion Filly. “Pivadorette is a well-behaved young mare with an exciting future ahead of her,” said Bomkamp. “She has been lightly started under saddle and is in foal to Winston for 2024 to give her a little more time to mature before starting a performance career.” Pivadorette was bred by J.M. Koopman and is owned by Catherine Malone.

Rosalee ISF (Tjalbert 460 x With Love ISF, Star, by Teade 392, Sport) scored a 77.225 to win the IBC Friesian class for the second year in a row. “Rosalee has always been a barn favorite,” said Bomkamp. “She’s a mini version of her dam, With Love ISF, and never puts a foot wrong. She will start being ridden as a three-year-old next year and we’re excited to see how she develops.”

We are excited about her Cum Laude foal for 2024.”
Before her importation, Oresia ASD was Champion Mare at the KWPN Central Inspection at Heerjansdam and invited to the KWPN Mare National Championship. She was bred by A. Schellekens.
