Dark Pleasure
Kaiman’s sire is the Approved KWPN stallion Dark Pleasure, who qualified for the 2013 World Young Horse Championships and earned top placings in the KWPN stallion competitions. He continued up the levels and was successful in the small tour.
As a sire, Dark Pleasure passes on his quality gaits, modern type and excellent character. His offspring are FEI winners and CDI competitors. The Dark Pleasure son King’s Pleasure was the National Champion Seven-Year-Old at the 2022 US Festival of Champions and is now winning at Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I.
Dark Pleasure is by Ufo, who was recognized by the KWPN for producing rideability, type and an attractive front end.
Dark Pleasure’s grandsire is the KWPN stallion Metall, who sired nine Approved stallions and twenty-nine Grand Prix horses, including the Olympic horse Uthopia. Metall is also the father of ISF’s extraordinary mare, Rabiola,Keur/Preferent, the three-time Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon.
Ferro, Preferent
The foundation of Kaiman's sire line is the Approved KWPN stallion Ferro, Preferent. Ferro’s gaits, work ethic and good temperament were noted at his KWPN stallion performance test and showcased throughout his Grand Prix career. He was named Reserve Champion at the 2000 FEI World Cup Final and earned Team Silver at the 2000 Olympics.
Ferro passed his conformation and biomechanics for Grand Prix on to his offspring. He’s the sire of more than 59 Grand Prix horses and 39 Approved stallions. Among the many standouts are the Olympic horses Prestige and Glock’s Undercover. Ferro is also the grandsire of the Olympic superstar Valegro.
Gribaldi
Franciska’s sire Gribaldi, Preferent, is one of the most desirable stallions in modern dressage breeding. He was champion of the 1995 Trakehner licensing and Reserve Champion in the Pavo Cup as a four-year-old. He competed at Grand Prix with Edward Gal at the biggest shows in the world, including the 2007 FEI World Cup Final.
Kaiman, A Reflection of His Lineage
Kaiman’s lineage is reflected in his good attitude and trainability, coupled with talent for dressage. He was designated Premium at the 2018 KWPN stallion show and finished third overall with 84 points at the 2019 KWPN stallion performance test in Ermelo. He earned 8.5s on his trot, canter, elasticity, balance, rideability, talent as a dressage horse, and an 8 on his walk.
In 2018, he was fourth in the VSN Trophy Finals, a talent spotting competition for three-year-old dressage horses. In 2020, Kaiman was on the Dutch team’s long list for the World Championships for Young Horses. At the 2021 Pavo Cup semifinals, he received an 81.40%. Kaiman’s riders praise his good attitude, willingness to work and elastic gaits.
As a sire, Kaiman is a great choice for improving conformation, especially the topline. He adds refinement and beauty and passes on his exceptional temperament and gaits. Kaiman is homozygous for black and many of his foals have beautiful chrome.
Kaiman’s son Ohio, out of a Grand Galaxy Win mare, is Approved Hanoverian and Oldenburg. At the 2023 Stallion Performance Test in Verden, Ohio received: an 8 for his walk and 8.5s for his trot, canter, rideability and general impression, finishing with an 8.4 overall score. Kaiman’s first North American foal crop arrived in 2023. They are eye-catching modern types, with long legs and friendly, agreeable temperaments.
