Mary Lynn Marvuglio purchased Albert ISF, Star/Sport, as a dressage prospect in 2015. At his first show with his new rider, Rita Brown, Albert won a Training Level class with 70.769%. He continued up the levels and in October 2020, Albert debuted at Prix St. Georges. Earlier this year, the pair was back in the FEI ring at Welcome Back to White Fences II.
“Albert is a wonderful horse,” Rita says. “He is very good at horse shows and I think he loves to perform. He has a wonderful, willing temperament and is always looking to please. I find Albert to be exceptionally smart and that he responds best to being trained with lots and lots of praise.”
Rita continues, “He does not like to make mistakes and almost tries too hard at times. He enjoys hacking the most and is very brave and always the leader. He knows he is beautiful and has a very kind and gentle disposition. He certainly is an eye catcher and a barn favorite.”
“His favorite treats are Stud Muffins with peppermint in them, but he will eat almost anything.
He by far is the best-bred Friesian I’ve ever trained and I have been lucky enough to have the support of his owner to take it slow with this special guy.”
Albert ISF, Star/Sport has been an exceptional horse since day one, with fantastic character and movement. In 2014, he was champion of the Dressage IBOP (riding test) at the FHANA keuring held at the farm.
Albert ISF is by the FEI stallion Ulbert 390, Sport and out of the extraordinary mare Toltsje fan ‘t Boekhof, Model/Preferent, by Anton 343, Sport/Preferent.
