We’re excited to report that Tjalbert 460 won the prestigious Get of Sire class last month at Dressage at Devon. He became the first Friesian to win the class in the show’s history.
“We’re so proud of Tjalbert,” said Mary Alice Malone. “He’s a wonderful example of the Friesian breed. His babies have the same lovely temperament and expressive movement that made him a great dressage horse.”
To determine the placings in the class, the judges evaluated two or three of each sire’s offspring. Tjalbert was represented by three daughters who each are DAD ribbons winners. Rosalee ISF (x With Love ISF, Star by Teade 392, Sport) is a yearling filly who won the Friesian class this year at DAD with a 79.55%. Zabrina ISF (x Nynke Ris, Model by Brend 413, Sport) is a Star mare and a former DAD winner. Margarita ISF (x Yfke fan Fjildsicht, Model by Harmen 424, Sport) is a two-year-mare who finished second in the Friesian class in 2022.
Tjalbert joins his ISF barn mates Sir Sinclair, Keur and Florianus II, Crown as a Get of Sire winner at Dressage at Devon. Learn more about our breeding stallions here.
