Sire of Legends
Consul made a name for himself in two disciplines. Originally a successful show jumper in the Netherlands, Consul transitioned to dressage after his importation to the U.S. He won 22 classes at Fourth Level and was a crowd favorite. Known for his gentle nature and love of attention, Consul was a joy to handle and a remarkable athlete who captivated audiences.
As a sire, Consul left his mark on North American equestrian sport. His son Judgement ISF, Crown represented the U.S. in ten show jumping Nations Cups and won the prestigious $1,000,000 CN International at Spruce Meadows. Consul also sired successful eventers, including Critical Decision, who finished third at the Rolex Three-Day Event in 2008. Consul's legacy lives on as his offspring continue to excel in dressage, show jumping, eventing and hunters, solidifying his reputation as an important sire in sport horse breeding.
