Grand Prix Champion, USET Festival of Champions
1983 - 2009
Rampal represented the epitome of the Iron Spring Farm breeding program. He possessed world-class bloodlines, had an incredible Grand Prix career and sired international stars. All of which earned him the high honor of the Crown predicate from the KWPN. Rampal’s excellent character and rideability, coupled with incredible movement made him fun to ride and fun to watch. With the availability of frozen semen, he continues to pass these wonderful qualities on to his offspring.
Rampal was an exceptional Grand Prix dressage horse. He had 14 wins at that level, including Championships at the USET Festival Of Champions, the Royal Dressage Festival CDI and AHSA Region 1. Rampal was also shortlisted for the United States Equestrian Team.
Rampal is a noted sire of Grand Prix dressage and jumping horses. His son Ovation was a winning international show jumper who competed in Europe with Olympian Markus Fuchs. The pair won the Puissance class at Olympia in London, clearing 7’3”, and again in Rome jumping 6’8”. Rampal’s offspring have won multiple championships at breed shows, including the Grand Championship at Dressage at Devon, as well numerous KWPN-NA annual awards. He’s also produced winning hunters, equitation horses and eventers.
